I'm going to try and give you some useful critisim, which might sound harsh but it will be useful.

Firstly, your handling needs A LOT of work and by judging from your performance I'm not entirely sure you've purchased this effect :?

Secondly, the effect makes no sense. They're all random cards. I've learnt that the effect needs to make sense for the specs to enjoy it more, so I present it as a type of monte routine. The first car dbeing and ace of diamonds, then all cards turning to a black queen, the explaining that you want find four reds aces or black queens, but you will find four kings.

Work on your presentation and handling. Here is an old video of me performing this effect, I have improved dramitcally since, but I still think you will benefit from it:

and here is a better performance, which I based my original on

At the risk of repeating myself (I can't remember how many times I've commented on this effect on this forum)...

As Mikey said before me, your handling needs a lot of work. I'm going to assume your handling is based on ideas you've gathered from watching a video online, and not the actual handling of the effect.

While I appreciate that you are trying to make the trick more your own, you are diminishing the power of the effect by muddying the waters with your card selections. As Mikey said - it needs a logical progression. Your "all 4 cards the same" sequence is too drawn out and sloppy - that the strength is almost completely lost. Your final sequence borrows more from Daley and Hammon than Darwin Ortiz - and not in a good way. The strength in the effect is the illusion that all four cards are different at the end - not two pairs of identical cards. With your ending, they still get a nice kicker - but for me, it just doesn't hit as hard as the original.

Your handling needs a lot of improvement. For one, you need to work on how you handle your "get ready". There's too much fidgeting and fiddling. This routine is very fast-paced, and slowing it down can diminish the effect (especially at the end). My suggestion is to track down the actual instructions to the effect. You can find it in a number of places, including:

Darwin Ortiz' At the Card Table - It's his effect, so learning from the creator is never a bad idea.

Gregory Wilson - Double Take - An excellent variation of the effect. As usual, Mr. Wilson adds some great touches to the handling.

Ammar - Easy to Master Card Miracles Volume 6

Mikey - your handling still needs some work. You almost have it down pat, but your pacing needs to be a little smoother. With practice that will come naturally, so keep it going and you'll be fine. Your reveal of the first king was a bit slow - and there is a big discrepency flashing. You pull a card from the center - displaying it as a king, but you also CLEARLY show only two cards remaining in your other hand. I like your thinking here, but I believe the gemini count is more suited to this display.

Excellent work from both of you. As always, it's nice to see Roy's version rise back to the surface (it pops up every few months, it seems). Keep it up!

Thanks for the tips, but, as I said, this is reasonably old performance of the effect, november 06, that makes it, TEN MONTHS! It's very old actually, I might take it down. But, in those ten months my routine has improved dramatically :)

I think I might film some more videos...

Earl Nelson has a great variation on this effect...called The Ultimate Packet Trick. It can be found in The Earl Nelson Workbook or on his DVD Highlights From The Workbook.

I agree with Demitri, especially about the Gregory Wilson comment. Greg's performance on this trick (as well as his handling) is great: Well-timed, humorous and interactive. I would definitely recommend it as a good source.

Demitri, I'm curious: what are your thoughts on Darwin's presentation. I've always found him to be a bit on the dry side, despite the fact that his handling of the cards is superb.

i love this trick. its one of those tricks that when your at a party it can always make your friends spit watever they were drinking. The effect is eye boggiling to the viewer. 4 cards you folo 1 card and realize that they are all that 1 card and the magician flips each card 1 at a time and they all change then he changes them again.
