He was kicked out of office twice, sleeps until noon, used opium in
college and drinks a quart of whiskey every evening.


Candidate C

He is a decorated war hero. He's a vegetarian, doesn't smoke, drinks
an occasional beer and never cheated on his wife.


Which of these candidates would be your choice? Decide first... no

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group
that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the
rest of the world in line.

Ah yes....this one pops up every now and then. It is interesting, but there's a few holes in the story.

1 - You didn't just kill Beethoven - since he was the SECOND BORN of the SEVEN children - thus the entire point is moot.

2 - She didn't have syphilis. She contracted tuberculosis, but Beethoven was almost 20 when that happened.

3 - Of the 5 children after Beethoven, only 2 survived (3 in total). None of the children were known to be blind, deaf, or mentally retarded.

Question 2 quite happily ignores the fact that Hitler was arrested for high treason. It also fails to mention his attitude towards certain ethnic groups.

As for the Congress part - some is fact, some isn't. For instance - the 84 drunk driving arrests in the last year is a lie. 1 - that statistic actually popped up in 1998 - and the true statistic was that was the number of Congressmen stopped for SUSPICION of DUI (a far cry from an arrest).

It also leaves out that at least one of them has killed someone. But we don't like to mention that one, since his big brother is so revered by my fellow citizens (his big brother had a few notable mistresses - and associated with known members of criminal organizations. Hmmm... I wonder why he's never mentioned on that election question).

So for question 1 we're assuming the woman is at that moment pregnant? Not to pick holes in your grammar (ok, that was a lie) but the question doesn't suggest that she currently is pregnant
