Well it was late about 12:30 pm and was getting ready to go to sleep. While brushing I saw it Oral-B Essential Floss Waxed Dental Floss Over 50 meters of it

Then it came to me a revelation I had always seen it in shops in my house but for the first I thought of it in a magical way,and suddenly i had this desier
of stripping it to see a singal strand and there it was  just one strand or I thought so.This incident took place because of Yigal Mesika's elastics sinse that came in a dental floss dispenser so I thought why not.

You might find it to shiny cause i do but its really strong you could find some other dental floss that is better but just wanted to let the world know that dental floss works good for IT

Thanks Noor. But not so new, I'm afraid!

As great minds often think alike, you'll be glad to hear that dental floss has been a subsitute to IET and IT for a long while. Although, not nearly as good as 'designated' IET, it will work OK.

Yup - I remember many a happy hour spent, about 3 years back, stripping dental floss.

Whilst it's relatively easy to do, it is rather time-consuming, and doesn't seem to have quite the same strength as standard IT.

As far as I found, Floss cannot be used as an IET substitute (my wife's stockings, on the other hand, worked very nicely indeed! )

Apparently, UNWAXED floss is better than the bog-standard stuff, as it doesn't 'glint' if caught by the light....that said, I never managed to track this down in the UK :(

Note to self: don't go round Rob's pad if invited to a birthday party... especially at the point where they're about to light the candles on the cake...

Likewise - don't floss at my house, either - our dental tape has a suspiciously-oily taste to it
