Scorpion is a great "danger" effect

There was a show on UK TV a while back showing tricks going wrong. Among them were some involving the traditional vertical knife and cups but the worst was where the performer used the spec's hand to crush the cup and got it wrong. Even though the spec's hand had been painfully stabbed, the performer just carried on and tried to talk his way out of it!
