Beaye Malphas (hello other magic folk)

Postby Beaye » Sep 4th, '07, 22:57

Hi There.

It seems proper to introduce myself.

My name is Beaye, or B-A. I'm from London and have been practising magic for 15 years, apart from a Ali Bongo magic set when I was a kid (does that count?).

I like most styles of magic. Alot of the time I go for pure effect style close up work or mentalism. This I find entertains the adult audience alot these days. But I'm never afraid to bring out mr and mrs spongeball, or do a jackie chan ninja rings performance for younger audiences.

I have travelled alot, have only recently returned from a 2 year round the world adventure with my girlfriend.
I took a reasonable magic selection with me and performed for everyone from Amazonian tribes and Gang member in Brazillian Favella slums, to good old a fashioned american kids party and bemused Cambodian Monks.
Magic was my passport (unfortunatly not my wallet) into close contact with normal people in almost any social setting worldwide. And I tell you something, pulling a spongeball out of a kids ear provides the same kick in every place I've been..... sweet.

I make a lot of gaffs myself and love to tinker and try and invent my own sleights.

Best Trick - Remote Viewing. I give a person a piece of paper and a marker pen and sit them in a chair.
I ask them to draw a picture once I am faceing away with my own piece of paper (I can not see what they are drawing..)
I fold up my piece of paper after drawing on it.
They Fold up theirs.
we swap an open each others at the same time.

ta da

I have drawn the same image as the volenteer.

Cheers for reading

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
