I tend to end a one card routine (which will contain a fair amount of ambitious card tricks) by moving to a different coloured deck, then ribbon spreading the deck to show their card in the middle of the new, differently coloured deck.

My favourite thing about ambitious card routines is the build-up of disbelief in the spectators reactions, so that a big ending just totally blows them away.

yes it can be that simple. but if you want a DVD with it on get Pot Of Jam by James Brown, only because it teaches that and some other stuff you're bound to use too

There was a effect of jay shankey in revolutionary card magic called
"fort" nox"
which is a card to box/envelope but the cool thing is:
The envelop starts inside the cardbox and you can show them that it is empty.

Another effect which i like very much is the omni deck ending.
The nice part is you dont really need to care about a deck switch
since you need only three cards for the omni ending you can just remove the three cards from the deck and do a short 3 card ambitious routine.

I myself have a ending of the ACR. Now, because I "discovered" or realized like 1 month ago I have not actually performed it yet..., But for now, I think I am sitting on a very good ending. It is very simple, that is: No gimmick deck etc...

The method is so simple but deceptive (and keep it simple is best!). Although, as we are talking about it, is all about the -ending- of a ACR.

I love the idea of card on ceiling as siege said. You turn over the top card and the specs gasp. The card isn't theirs. but then after a short silence you simply point up and the specs see their card on the ceiling. Beautiful.

I personally use a card transpo using anything around me. eg. card under specs glass, in their bag, and mostly card in specs pocket.

Well, firstly it isn't like a "hype" thingy way... . The end of the ACR you are gonna fake a memory loss, and considering the fact of the situation that is going during this moment, there is gonna be a natural move from spectator, because the spectator is actually holding the card just before the moment it goes into the middle of the deck.
Now, apparently the way this whole thing works is suited as a ending.

My endings depend on my mood. But because I like flourshes More often then not I end up not being able to find the card at all. Then as I put the deck on the table the card shoots out of the deck skimming across the table to land face down in front of the spectator. If no table then the card jumps from the deck makes 132 and a half spins into the air almost kissing the ceiling and comes down to land in my awaiting left hand.

the ambitous card routin i do know well yet i cant really get good at it. I have no one to show me the all the sleek moves, and yes i can perform it but not a dramatic performance like many of you.
