Quite simple really...

There is already a thread about muisc magicians like to listen to but I'm looking for some great tunes to perform to.
I'm thinking mainly for stage shows but who knows... suprise me.

Those threads are a little, old, times are changing!

I like strange, bizarre music. Also, I think hip-hop is an excellent pace etc.
Just none of that guns & hoes 50-cent rubbish!

i would go with some modern rock, rap wouldnt have a good vibe and hip hop would be a nice touch because it sends a rush in your hands.

I've put together a few rountines to Salsa music, that always seems to work really well for me.

Like the salsa idea!
What about an alternative to classical for as manipulation routine?

There's some great stuff on both David Stone's Real Magic dvds, I think it's credited too but I can't be bothered to check at the mo. Sorry! I will in a bit I promise.

It's real chillout stuff with some livelier bits thrown in now and again, great for practice.

Afterall the artist want to be paid for you using their music.

However the is another way around this and that is to use royalty free music.
One way to do this is to buy a pro backing cd. (Karaoke)
Someone like PSL PROBURN enable you to pick your own music and create your Magical Music CD

MCPS doesn't apply here. That organisation collects royalties from tha sale of recorded works. So if you release a CD, then the MCPS will collect royalties from your sales.
PRS applies to performance. But jusrt about every venue you perform at will have a PRS license, so there's nothing to worry about.
And with the karaoke thing, it's still an artists music being perfomed at a venue, so PRS still applies. The only difference being with the MCPS collections as it wasn't recorded by the original artist (but MCPS doesn't even apply to performed music.)
