I went to Swansea once while hitch-hiking as a teenager before going to college.

I slept under a motorway and was making myself a cup of tea on my primus when a helpful local PC stopped in his Morris Minor and offered to let me sleep in a much more comfy cell. I declined his offer. I thought, knowing the Welsh, they might stick a sheep in to keep me company !!

Primus stoves... ah, the memories...

That is a bit ridiculous, my second offer for medicine was AB! First was AAB, which I duly failed to achieve!

It's just because it's so popular... very few people seem to want to be psychologists, but loads of people want to seem all mysterious and have stunning insight into other people's lives so they can use their super-psycho-powers in whichever job they end up.

Too much Derren Brown on the telly

It's been my experience that the psychology and sociology graduates I've met tend to say something along the lines of "nothing" when I ask then what they've done with what they learned. Knowing why people do things is the other side of the coin to making them do those things. It might just be confirmation bias, but it feels like the majority anyway, which seems like a terrible waste.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

3 As for Cardiff seems a bit steep. Can't you get through in clearing? Failing that, you could always accept a place on another course and then change when you register - universities don't normally make a fuss about your A level grades once you're already in. A few people at my universit(ies) got in that way.

Cardiff is good for psychology, and if I go in in clearing then I have to literally accept whatever room they give me...and I don't fancy sharing a toilet with 11 other guys...especially if curry and beer is available...

You have to get three A's, pay this country's extortionate student fees (thank Blair!) and on top of that, live in Wales. Sounds like a bum deal to me.

Don't do it. You'll end up talking funny and won't be able to read any of the road signs!

As Bobby Ball said on the Cannon and Ball live DVD: "Being dyslexic, Wales is the only place where I can read all the road signs!"
