At the moment, just click on their link (see the bottom of this page), and you'll be taken to their TalkMagic Portal, with a code for a 10% discount (orders of £50 or above).

Hope this helps :D

Rob,

I've just discovered what you mean about one of the parts moving. Both mine were loose, the glue obviously hadn't held. I cured it with double sided selotape.

He doesn't present it very well though, does he? If I did a trick that took that long I'd be disappointed with a reaction of, "Oh that's very clever." There's a video of him doing Beyond ESP 2, as well, in which the spec looks like she's about to fall into a coma.

Got mine.

I'll just say that, to agree with 99% of the comments here, this effect is brilliant.

I'll be performing this in no time once I have the patter and flow right and I can see this having a massive impact on specataors.

In response to a couple of recent comments, I thnk the presentation is supposed to, not drag on, but move smoothly and there is no rush to get the effect over and done with.

Its an experience for the spectator, not a highly charged visual effect.

As long as you can put forward a good story, crete the right atmosphere, the impact will be awesome.

10/10

Yet ANOTHER effect I wish I had electric touch for.. GGGRRRR

Imagine.. you hold your hand near the spectators as you are trying to find vibes for which cards should be his/her reading.. you dont get any vibes from the 'discarded' cards, but for the two cards you need for the reading, the spec feels a tingle, then a shock, and you feel them too. There's your reason to choose the 2 cards for a reading!! And your spec will agree as she felt the vibes too..

Can anyone treat me to Electric Touch now please !!

This sounds amazing, My list just gets longer, I can imagine a slow paced routine, relaxed but serious mood, slightly lowered lights.

There are certain people who i think this would play really powerful with, Those that things ESP and book test leave a little cold, this seems more personal

ESP is Very personal, i presented correctly. I like to present ESP tests so that it seems that the subject is doing most of the work.

DA2 though, is an incredibly strong routine.. I cannot wait to perform it.

I must admit I initially had a problem with this too, particularly taking far too long going through the cards.

The solution that works for me has been to have the cards pre-arranged according to Richard Osterlind's ODDS system at the start. Now time spent finding the req'd cards has been seriously reduced and I can pace the effect's flow much better, without having to waffle extraneously as cover while card hunting.

I got this on Monday and I'm REALLY looking forward to presenting it!! The workings of the trick are simple which allows alot of emphasis on the patter given. It's a semi no brainer so you can make it as mysterious as required.
I wanted to use this for a show on Halloween (it is either this or The Omen!) combined with a couple of other ideas.
Wouldn't it be nice and freaky to be able to use this along with a 'DARK' patter of guilt/betrayal!
EG - A number of Photos depicting a group of friends.
A spectator picks one of these friends 'mentally' to be the traitor amongst the group.
The spectator then names him from the vibes he is feeling.
A reading is performed (Ideally with different cards that don't show good fortune and wealth!)
The final part of the reading indicates 'an' envelope. And requires the spectator to name the person in the photo and point them out. Saying why they felt that they were the guilty one.
A Photo of just that one person is then produced from a sealed envelope and the leather envelope is then bought into play (maybe the last possesions of the person before they were hanged).
The name is then spelt out - as chosen by the spectator.

Just an idea at the moment - but being worked on in earnest!

Any other suggestions to this are very welcome!

All in all though - I do love this and the ideas behind it!

I tried this last night at a small gathering with the primary aim of drinking moderate amounts of Wray Nephew Rum, smoking and watching TV, and felt this was the right time to show this effect. It took a while to build up, but I utilised a few things learnt from the Ian Rowland book, Full Facts Book of Cold Reading.

For example, one of the tarot cards referred to the number 2, which was a hit as my friend's other house was in fact number 2, so it did apply. The revelation of the name, however, was the real kicker; that is, the initial climax was a kick in the shins whereas the final revelation was a kick in the nads.

I then tried it later on for another friend, who sadly had discovered his grandfather had died that evening, so felt guilty amongst that it was the revelation, but I aspired to do the effect in such a way that my friend was able to think of his grandfather in a privately introspective manner. Whether or not it was poignant or inappropriate I remain unclear about, but in the impromptu / makeshift parlour setting, this effect is perfect.

I think, however, that either a magic distributor such as Alakazam or Outlaw could do a "push the boat out" version, with no expenses spared budget, in which a different Gypsy Envelope with authentic distress on, or Bicycle stock quality "official Gypsy Fortune Telling Tarot Cards" could be used.

Obviously this would justify the potential £44.99 RRP price tag and accompanying DVD with Peter Nardi demonstrating it on a Magic Geek style female spectator, which would equally justify a following of Ellusionist fans, what with their loud music, Youtube posts, Joe Porper card grips and subtle protuding Bicycle Masters Decks poking out of their trousers.

I love this effect and if anything now gives me a valid context to try some cold reading. I have a long way to go, however.
