Your hands might be too dry. I have very dry hands and this can be detrimental to card work. Try applying a hand cream or other hand/finger moistener. SortKwik may help.

alright dave........if you hold the deck principally between your thumb and forefinger at the top of the pack (but not too near the top) your remaining three fingers should be able to perform the glide whilst thumb and fore act as a sort of anchor....its not a hard slieght to master but remember to make it really subtle and natural.....also on a more personal note i tend to feel people dramatically overuse the D/L and tend to forget that apparent miracles can be achieved with this slieght............im trying to think....".now you see it" on the rrcm dvd set is corking.....good luck :D

Dave,

Sometimes my hands feel sticky and can do the moves, other times they are very smooth and don't slide cards as I want. When handling the cards I can feel the difference. If I want to glide and the fingers are in a smooth mode I lick the third finger before I do the move. No-one knows why and it doesn't spoil the effect.

cheers! streching your fingers also helps. I never had problems with moves like these since i play guitar for 8 years.
You know some of your fingers are anatomically linked and you have to strech them to make them more flexibel. For the glide I would recommend :
make a straight palm with all fingers extended. Then make a "V" as gib as possible between your index and middle finger while the rest still touching each other, then start to bend all your fingers still holdign the V between index and middle.
Try the V with all fingers ( the V between middle and ring is very useful for a good bottom deak ;) )
