new in London

Hi there

I have been in the UK for about a year, and have been working on my magic for about 3 months now. Originally from South Africa, magic is really not accessible so its not something I really ever encountered or seriously considered beyond a couple of card tricks I learned from a dog-eared old book I found in a second hand bookshop. I only really got started when I met some interesting characters in flea market and stopped to chat.

Anyway, I spend over an hour on the train each day (living in London) and so my martial arts training sort of gave way to practising card flourishes and coin sleights... problem is it didn't stop when I got off the train :-/
Now I meet an awful lot of people in pubs.

p.s. 28 year-old guy, living and working in London.

Hi and welcome to TM

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Welcome to London, I've lived here for nearly 20 years, and the city just gets better and better.

I was talking about London with a good friend of mine the other day, and we agreed that London is not only (probably) the most liberal city in the world, it's very likely the most liberal city that there has EVER BEEN! It's a real privilege to live here!

Best,

Lee
