Plastic Bicycle Cards

Postby Carl Buck » Sep 18th, '07, 16:31

Does anybody know where I can buy plastic coated bicycle backed playing cards?

I need one for a card in sealed bottle effect I'm working on, and I've tried laminating them etc but after a couple of day's they begin to fall apart

You could just laminate one yourself. Or get a laminator to do it for you.

It's near the bottom of the page. They are clear though.

Just out of curiousity, why do you want plastic Bikes? If you want plastics, I've heard that Kems are good for the job!

I actually just need a card that looks like a normal playing card but can sit in a bottle of liquid with falling to bits!

I do a bottle production at the end of my routine and fancy having a previously predicted and chosen card in the sealed bottle

A normal Bicycle card should work. The coating on USPCC cards should last a while even in liquid. I think there have been a few card in bottle effects (not too sure because I'm not too fond of them myself) and I'm sure they use regular Bikes.

The edges of the cards are not coated, Maybe a bit of wax around the card might do the trick!

there are plastic bicycle cards sold. although they are pretty flimsy and tend to stick. might be good for a card to bottle effect though
