Postby magicdiscoman » Aug 30th, '07, 17:05

today i was strongly advised by my doctor not to drive anymore which meens as a named driver for a disabled person two people are screwed.
and as they have only been paying for a car for a year, three to go, subsidised by the tax payer which were are greatfull for were up the creak without a paddle.

so question one what do i put as my status since i canot now nolonger get to gigs.
can we get them to take back the car and more importantly give back his motobility money.
anyone want to buy a renoge scenic.

Go back to the dealer that you bought the car from and also get some advice from Social Services on the mobility allowance.

It's not your fault that circumstances change.

fair point about taxis but most don't like you filling there cars with disco gear, magic gigs are ok i have a few friends with small cars.
fortunatly we may be able to get the car taken back under medical grounds but it will be a wile before we know if we will be stung for the rest of the money.
its just culture shock to go from car to no car in one day, like all good borg i'll just have to adapt.

£800 and colour deception sounds fair to me but would leave me around 6k short, not sure how i could explain that to my friend....... look its shiny and made of brass and cool..... is it 6k's worth of cool...... erm perhapse not.

havan't worked fulltime for over a year and most of the rest has been free charity work so its no great loss.
the docs recon i have scarring on the brain that isn't showing yet so theave labled it MS and off loaded me onto disability, the non driving clause is just icing on the cake.
i walk like a well john wane, even though i can do all the cordination exersices and my reaction times are to slow and my memorys up the spout.
since they can't tell me how its going to progress, what it will efect and how quickly it will go, i'll just have to face facts and except that i have a ticking time bomb in my head and just take it eeeeaaasy man.
at least i'll have more time to do research and maybey give better advice in the future.

15 yrs is a good run, magics been good to me so I'm not sad, but its a hard drug to give up.
iv'e had a year to ween myself off and am happy to become a hobbiest, dosn't seem like a year since i first mentioned it on the boards, and i managed to go back to it for a wile and had plenty of fun.
like a boxer who can't box anymore i'll relive my glory days and live vicariously through the younger magicians iv'e inspired just like any other old fogie.
thanxs for all the inspiration from th forum, bless you all, even the angry ones. :D

I might even get time to do some vids, we didn't have cameras back in my day.

hey guys thanxs to a visit to bupa finaced by a friend my condition has changed from MS and dying to your gp beeen lying to you, your being treated for depression which you clearly don't have, what you do have is........... wait for it........ its dyspraxia. which i can live with so today i did a freebie for fernehamhall open day to get me back in the sadle so to speek, so if you have the time pop onto my site and check out the video i did today (don't know how to add utube links here yet its my first time).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k05Sr20vHSw
its great to be off the five, count them five antidepressants and start to think again and more importantly drive and start to earn some money again.
although as a severly dispraxic i am labled as learning disabled and my motor functions will probably never recover 100% but who cares I'm not dying, yeah me.
so eventualy, with some luck i can go on disability working allowence and courses to run my business and start contributing again.
