I suppose it's all part of the misdirection. You never know how much of this stuff Derren puts in deliberately. Either way, it's brilliant.

I also find myself encouraging this type of thinking when people ask me how he did 'such and such' a trick. I suppose it's a kind of honour amongst thieves.
Though most of the time I don't actually know.
