As I said in your intro, the bast place to start is with a good book. Mark Wilson's Complete Course makes a brilliant starting point.

I know the basics, I can do tricks like card on the ceiling, hummer card or This 'n That (never mind) that every beginner can do that) and even (probably, I mean u never no if it hasn't been done before) invented my own trick.

I suggest going to Davys then, though I hear they're not too keen on young uns. Also do go and buy Mark Wilsons complete guide to magic. They're are some real gems in that book. You're by chance an ellusionist junkie I take it? We can help ween you off such things!

YOu thought wrong! To be honest, Ellusionist is probably one of the worst. They have overhyped overpriced magic. If you are in the UK I suggest www.nothingupmysleeve.co.uk (or at least Ive heard its the best)
if you are in the US then I definitely suggest www.magic.org, both have great magic stuff.

wow what a day.
Seriously London is so much better with magic things than Manchester.
So first I went to davys to get some tricks, So i got the coin through rubber, because I really loved it. I also took the ID and the Svengalis deck (I hope that's how you spell it) By the time I got out of the shop I thought that that was all the shopping done for today, but than my dad wanted to get me something so i received the holly molly trick (the thing is the magician in the shop showed him an amazing routine which wasn't on the dvd:/(It involved the coins changing while he held to them and he could actually examine them before he has closed his hand, so it looked much better), and the trickery which I thought is not as good as people say. Anyway after an hour or so I saw magicians performing some cards cups/and balls tricks, I spotted some double/triple lifts but except for that It was flawless. I also liked the way he swapped a ball in a cup for an orange, than took it out and there was a different orange under it. I talked to him after the show, and he shown me how to do the classic card force and recommended me a shop called Magic Cave and a book called Royal road to magic. I went to the shop which is situated in Covent Garden plaza, and bought the book there. They showed me a trick that i believe is called the HumBug and it involved a really extraordinary card reveal. I am sure I'll go there tomorrow and look at some tricks perhaps buy one. Anyway my day was great, shame I have to leave tomorrow. I really hope that somewhere in Manchester there is a magic shop cause this think has really got me going:D OK that's all for now.

I've got to say this...but that was probably one of the nicest posts I've ever read on this forum. After this extracting of the urine etc, it seems like our friend "Maciek" is actually truely keen on magic. There was something about the post that made me smile.

Yes, he's keen, but I fear his schoolwork is suffering, particularly English.

I also suspect that "Maciek" was meant to be "magic".

Actually I am not doing that bad in english (" mock exam grade B") , and Maciek is my name in Polish
