I'm a terrible bender

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

The Gerry and Banachek DVD is pretty good, but it's not filmed up close and has a black background which makes it difficult to see clearly what's going on. Also Gerry keeps interjecting with what the American would call "dumb-ass wisecracks" which detract from the teaching.
Can anyone recommend any other DVD's? After half an hour I wanted to jump in the screen, grab Gerry by the throat and scream: "Will you just SHUT UP! I'm trying to watch this!"

The 'jokes' also get on my nerves too, its like 2 school kids trying to play one-mans-upmenship.

Completely agree. If it was Banachek on his own and better camera angles then it would have been excellent. Gerry is, without a doubt, an annoying prat with one of those fake 'anchorman' voices which belongs on some New York cable station reading 'funny' news stories.
There is no point on him being on the DVD. It's like trying to watch a film at the cinema or a play at the theatre and some annoying idiot talks all the way through.
