That Special Prop

Postby FRK » Oct 3rd, '07, 22:22

OK.. I have the usual bits and bobs we all have in the way of props but are there any special favs out there I am missing ??

My examples are.. Haunted Key, Marked ESP cards, Die cipher etc which well all have

But are there any off the beaten track we have missed, and example being 'BREMA NUTS'

Your thoughts..

Deck of cards, TT and an IET loop on each wrist... if I'm adventurous, a 9" silk and 4 sponge balls too.

Hours of magic.

My favourite (although I spent it!!!) is coin unique, absolutely use at any time with anyone. Just try NOT to spend it!

Props? What's a prop?

I say that only in half-jest in that the very first rule of thumb I have when it comes to what I perform now days is that I am not co-dependent on a "thing" such as a Swami, Special Wallet, et al. Though I do use gimmicks it is exceptionally rare. BUT, that does not mean that my inner Pack-Rat isn't coveting the various odds & ends that are available...

I love gimmicks! I love studying this kind of stuff and ponder what went on in the creator's mind as he/she developed the idea, etc.

About the only devices I have with me most frequently would be my Black's Ring, a Copper-Silver Half-Dollar piece for doing the Nightmare Coin story, and at times I have my SUC with me for doing pocket-writing work more than anything else.

I like the bill tube, not only for vanishing cash, but also the occassional marble or such.

At all times I have a TT and coin unique (pre dairy milk incident) on me. Everything else can be borrowed or stolen!

Do you really need props to do that?
