I not sure what to expect from these but I will have a review up of Compression by Friday and Ink shrink the following week.

The guy who created Compresion posts at one of the forums I am a member of. He has gotten quite a rep there- some good, some bad.

Wasnt it the 16 year old kid in the demo.. ?

The effect looks pretty decent but Im sure I know how it works.. but Dan Harlan is 'grown up'.. I think so Im hoping his method is different.

If I like it Im going to use it as a mentalism piece... use an ordinary bic pen for a few effects, predictions etc.. then for some pk stuff where the pen moves, then Banacheks Psychokinetic pen.. then at the end... use the power of the mind to make it shrink. Then hand it out as a souvenir if at a paid gig or something..

I think you will really enjoy Compression. I've put a lot of time into the effect and DVD to make sure that it is professional quality material.

(This is different than Harlan's Shrinky Ink. I contacted Dan Harlan several months back and received his complete permission to market Compression.)

its not that good, good effort though, clever, but im not so sure about real world handling..

review coming soon.. it is good, but not great, mixed opinions.. i should really reserve reservation till i try it.

I didnt receive pens with the dvd, and being in the uk thats kind of critical.

Did you order it from MagicShop.co.uk? If so you should have received pens.

I know.. and Ive not had a reply to emails. magicshop offer great customer service though, im sure there is an explanation.

Anyway, i cant really comment until I try it out but cant try it out without the pens.. which kinda f****s me off that Im not able to just go buy some!!

Yes. There probably is an explanation because they are usually very good about getting back to their customers.

Sorry about not having the pens though. I find it so surprising that they aren't sold in the UK. In the US they are the most popular standard pen.

Anyway, I'm sure customer service will get back to you. I know that they have the pens in stock so there was probably just a shipping error.

I have spoken to someone else who ordered from MagicShop and they did receive pens.
