I will be on these forums (and others) less and less in the upcoming months, eventually to none.

Due to all the work I will be involved in: I am currently in the process of writing (and finishing) a book, finishing two college degrees (one in Culinary Arts and Management and one in Business), and working on running/obtaining my own Bar and Grill.

And the occasional college party and magic gigs I take on.
I have been wanting to own and run a Bar and Grill for a while now, so I am finally doing something about it.

We only live once in this life. So why not take chances... this is a chance and a risk. Owning a business many times is. Many fall within the first couple of years. Restaurants especially are hard to keep up.
But I would rather go all the way now and fail. Than never try, and look back one day and wonder... what could have been.

Many of you are too young to understand or dont even care... But the older guys will get it. We all have those regrets and thoughts of "What could have been."

So yes there is not only a personal message about me, but there is also a lesson to learn in here.
The lesson is this... go for it. As Yoda would say "do or do not, there is no try."

If you see a person that your truely interested in, go ask them out. The worst they can say is no. And you wont wonder 15-20 years down the road.. what if you had just asked.

If theres a job you really want to pursue. Go apply for it. Do what you must to attempt it. Whether it be a professional magician or Aerospace Engineer.

If you have the heart, the passion and the drive you can do it. My thought is, if you really love it... it isnt work. If you enjoy it, its not work.
My cousin is in business, financial (sp) work. We were talking a while back about his work... I asked why he does it, how can he like doing it. His reply.. he loves the challenge of it, the challenge of his job.

Many people in life take the safe route. The route they know that will get them money, the cars and the houses. Many will just take a job to get them through the month, content with their lives and jobs.

So, again, I am going to work on owning a Bar and Grill down here in Texas. If your ever down here, and I have it up and running, stop on by.

I have learned a lot from people on this site, and hopefully I have helped as well in one way or another.

I figure this (me leaving) will make a few of you happy, and I am okay with that. I know I was probably an ass some times... but I had good intentions many of the times.

I wish those who are true to the art good luck. Never give up, never stop, and you have a fighting chance of making it.

You can do anything you want if you put your mind and heart to it.

I don't think you have to be old to truely understand it.... but then again, i've never been old

Being able to just 'go for it', without fear, or being FREE, is a truely liberating feeling. One that i've been experiencing more and more the past few weeks/months.

David, a man after my own heart, at 22 i've just got the ball rolling to moving to florida, if I was anything like my brother id be talking about doing it for 5 years and still not done a darn thing about it! so DO IT, Enjoy the journey (even the rocky parts) and Reap the rewards at the end!
