That's going to be very difficult to find without YOU investing tons of time in the local House of Records or Library pouring over EVERY Obituary they have... they may mention that the victim did magic or belonged to the IBM, SAM or some such thing.
You might send a letter to all the magic groups such as those noted, the Castle and Magic Circle and explain what you are looking for and see if their archivist could help you out in instance of their members.
That said, the really neat stuff along these lines will be found in the 18th and 19th century press more than anything post 1930ish... magic was very cut throat back then and people really did kill for secrets or when an assistant exposed a secret and some were even sent to the gallows because they would not reveal their secrets (witch trial situations)... there are still remote parts of the world where "magic wars" still happen... I can't recall the name of the article or the author's name but the UTNE READER had an article some years ago (about a decade back, I'd say) about a Western world Magician having his life threatened whilst traveling in the Pacific Islands and in through India... the local Shaman feeling threatened by his magic (sponge balls, cups & balls, etc.) because the people were seeing him as being more powerful and skilled with it than the regional elder/holy man. I posted reference to this in the old TOP HAT magazine that used to be produced via the Magic Bunny crew, you may ask Michael Jay if he can help you find it, but it is buried... at least 3 years or so ago.
Hope this helps you out.
