I'm back...and in London

Postby TOJennie » Oct 28th, '07, 13:11

Hi everyone!

Well, it's been a few months since I've posted here and I've missed it. I lost Internet for a month and when I got it back, I had lost my routine of checking this forum every day and time just passed too quickly. But I'm back now!

I also moved away from Toronto and I am now happily living in south-east London. I've been here for three weeks now, working full time as a field archaeologist, and practicing magic every chance I get. I decided to leave the vast majority of my magic books and supplies at home and brought only a few packs of cards, Royal Road and Bobo's with me, with the intent of going through them carefully and really getting the hang of all the basics. And I'm loving it.

Meanwhile, I've been thinking about joining a local magic club. I don't think I'm quite up for the Magic Circle but I'm sure there must be some smaller groups out there in London. Any suggestions?

Don't be afraid of joining the Magic Circle. The members are just as incompetent as the Hat and Rabbit club.

Visit Davenports magic shop. It is in the Charing Cross Underground Station. It is not quite in the same league as the Browser's Den but it is better than nothing. The staff there will tell you about magic clubs in London.

Years ago there were quite a few but they have probably disappeared now. The main one apart from the Magic Circle was the LSM. London Society of Magicians. I have no idea if they still exist.

I'm not sure whereabouts in London you are, check the societies link at the end of all my messages - and you will find a list of all the magic societies in your area.

Welcome back by the way.
