Salut mes amis!

Well I got to the beautiful town of Hyeres and am enjoying the beautiful weather, today the rest of france is under heavy cloud according to the TV, vive la sud!

So, things arent quite going according to plan, but then life is like that  . I've started table hopping on the terraces of some of the many restaurants and bars here and on samedi (saturday) I was booked by some people to perform at their party (only 100e, but it's a start). Unfortunately I got pushed into the pool so my phone is kaput, but on the other hand I only had to work a little so I was paid to get drunk and dance with the beautiful people :D
I posted my tent from England along with my balloons and some magic, but has not arrived so it probably got destroyed in the Sheffield floods. Luckilly I have friends here so at the moment I sleep in one of the children's room. Anywho I have to order some new cards so... a bientot!

Ok a quick update, things are going pretty well right now. My tent finally arrived and I work the coolest bar in the port 'Au Sax' for donations, my reputation and the money I take is slowly increasing. Mostly I make balloons, dance and talk to beautiful women, oh yeah and in the day I snorkel... Its about as close to being James Bond as Ill ever get. Back in the UK for ten days from wednesday which will be a culture shock I think... Anywho à bientot!

Merci mon ami, and you'll notice that I've just placed an order with your good self for some new tt's, as I seem to have lost mine somewhere! Very awkward when you are trying to change euros into sterling! :D

:P

I will expedite them at an expedient rate of exposition mon petit fleur.

Glad to hear things are rather 'good' (understatement, it would seem).

Keep us posted. And some pix would be nice—especially of your dancing pard'ners ;)

Well me dearios, long time no squark!

So here I am sitting at a friends pc overlooking the port of Toulon and thinking Id better give my old TM chums a quick update on what has been happening in my life.

I returned to Hyeres at the end of August and once again have been surprised by the path my life has taken, I am still living in my tent in the garden of my friends but with the onset of winter this becomes quite nerve racking as when it rains here at this time of year it RAINS!! So far the weather has held out but for how long I dont know...

The work at the Sax Bar has dried up, but Ive worked a few parties and it has just about kept my devilishly handsome head above water, although I am now far more skint than Ive ever been.

My french improves and although it is still not great I can understand most of whats said to me and reply.

Most importantly though Ive met a girl and am very in love, her name is Angelique, shes a singer, is beautiful and is far more wonderful than a cad and bounder like me could possibly deserve. Im returning to the UK in November for a couple of months and she hopes to come with me, we want to work together but who knows the direction that our lives will take.

So the long and the short of it is that although things are tough here moneywise, Im very zen about it and deeply happy to have found someone I really love. I hope that you are all well and send you lots of good wishes!

Tout alors mes ami!

Well done! That's fantastic news about lurrrve, but not so fantastic about money.

Chin up though, sounds like things are in a positive swing!

All I'd say is, be very afraid about November in the UK... it's going to be BITTERLY cold...

Actually I have so there. We had to split up after she got a puncture and couldn't keep up with the entirely reasonable demands I made of her though. C'est la vie, as Flash would say.

So another quick update, Im still broke but spent last night in St Tropez as a pirate with my girlfriend and three crazy french pirates... I drank alot, fought with swords and got deafened as they fired their pistols and rifles into the air. I am now an official member of their crew (lucky I had the foresight to bring my costume to france) and tonight we go to the picturesque Isle of Porqueroyals to do the whole crazy shebang again.... AAAaaaaarrrRRGGGGH!

So hello peeps from the sun drenched shores of distant... Sheffield. Yep, I'm once more back in the UK, trying to scratch a living again on the corporate market, in fact I've been back a couple of weeks. Things didn't go too well with the pirates I met the day before the last message I left. The situation involved too much alcohol, not enough sleep and not enough food. Still they were good lads and maybe I'll see them if I go back adventuring again next year.
So now I'm back in blighty and trying to maintain a long distance relationship with my girlfriend (something I'm normally bad at) and trying to accumulate enough cash to pay the debts I've built this year. Still you live and learn (or not).
