That's right boys & girls, everyone favorite magic bi-product of the New York city streets nearly got his butt kicked on national TV this evening as he got into the fact of Mentalist James Callahan during the airing of PHENOMENON...

Angel don't hide his ties to the JREF and was probably prompted by Randi to pull this stunt in that Randi (in the past week) was bad mouthing Callahan... in that I don't believe in coincidence... well...

I'm not positive, but I'm betting there is now a betting pool open around this issue... when will they go at it again and how many punches will Jim land before the little shyte has his body guards run in or worse... his mommy.

I think it all looked a little contrived. However, in the event that it's actually a real altercation... no offense to Mr. Callahan, but I put $20 on Angel.

Yea... that's why he has the body guards and his mommy always at his side... c'mon, he's a street punk. Jim is a very big country fed Southern Boy with a heavy Martial Arts background...

Sure, it could have been set up... I doubt it, given how Mr. Randi recently went off on him at the JREF and the fact that Angel is amongst Randi's minions.

There's skeptics, non-believers, and believers...but asking me to believe THAT is impossible.

To me, it looked like an attempt to boost some ratings, and get some buzz. From this post, and the others I've seen elsewhere - it looks like it worked.

I would also like to point out that, aside from this segment, the show was much better than the first episode. I found the performers very entertaining. I did have one question, especially for you, Craig.

What did you think of the introduction of some bonafide "magic tricks" in the opening segments?

Has anyone ever seen Springer, or WWF?

Sorry, but US showbiz is masked by the stench of gullible audience exploitation.

In fact, it's become culturally acceptible to falsify audience reaction.

Just look at any L&L publishing DVD.

No matter what it was, Criss Angel looked like a complete ass.

It was an enjoyable interlude in the show. Callahan's acting during his actual performance appeared absolutely laughable, to me.

I have read some praises for Callahan's performance, and some deplore it. All I will say is that I just wouldn't go there in any performance.
But, it was entertaining to see the argument- I still don't like the way Criss is acting on the show, but hey- it is all about ratings for American television,
talent isn't a requirement.

Only when the person with that specific life skill is standing in front of you.

That being said however, someone with the dedication to reach the upper ranks in any martial art is very much deserving of any praise that can be heaped apon them.

best dam soap in the world but as a former wrestler myslef and entertainer i have to take a very small exception with fake, gymnastics isn't fake, fencing isn't fake, hey even a display by the shaolin isn't fake but its the same premis.
and going through a table hurts and in the long run kills your spine and lastly as for little rey-ray, todays atheletes have shorter carrears than yester year because they take more damage every month, so they have to have more impressive story lines.
sorry for the little rant, criss may be a good actor but he's got a way to go to be in the same calibre of rey myssterio jnr (yes I'm that old to know ray senior).
