If Criss Angel challenged me to tell him what was in the envelope I would inform him that I do not do readings for free but if he would pay me $100 in advance I would indeed tell him. Sceptics never pay for readings so it wouldn't happen.

However if it did I would pocket the $100 and merely say, "It appears that you are correct. I have no idea what is in the envelope. This is not an exact science and I don't know everything. Good day."

And then tap him on the head with your silver-tipped walking cane.

Hard.

Chriss didn't put a limit on the number of 'guesses' which could be made about the contents. For $1 million it would be worth keeping him there for a few days while running through as many likely items as possible!

In reference to an earlier exchange, DrTodd wrote:Calm down sparky...
A statement that could only serve to further produce heightened tension.

Immediately following that opener, he further wrote:...hyperbole is used for pedagogical reasons...
And big words can be used to obfuscate (makes you want to break out the old thesaurus, eh?). My point was the fact that even in hyperbole, the use of Hitler and the images that should be associated with the name is certainly beyond use in such a trivial argument as is being had in this thread.

In conclusion, DrTodd wrote:If you want to attack my credentials than do so privately...
I believe that you know that I was not attacking your credentials. How can one possibly attack a simple fact? I was lamenting on the conception that someone as learned as yourself would use such a brash comparison - a comparison that you made publicly, opening my right to question herein.

I still stand by my belief that what you call "hyperbole" is regrettable at best and deplorable at worst.

Further using this wretched comparison (and proving my specific point), Browning wrote:...it's the old Hitler formula of find common foe's and suck them in on that agenda first then you can stab them in the back later (if you haven't converted them to your side of "logic").
Really? You've rather got a whole "backstabbing" paranoia going, don't you? It honestly is to cry when Criss Angel is compared to Hitler. In fact, I would even call it sick.

Coming from Browning, not a surprise. Coming from DrTodd, just rather sad.

Mike.

Sorry guys but sadly this is yet another good thread heading off topic and into the dangerous realm of personal comments. Therefore locked before too much damage is done  .
