Jackson from Seattle

Postby Jackson Avocado » Nov 2nd, '07, 06:33

Hey, thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Jackson, from Seattle, Washington, of the empire that is the United States. 17 years old, lived on and off between the states and Japan.

I got into magic sometime during June or July, but three months, 300 dollars, and a rapidly dropping GPA later, it's become an obsession.

Seems like there's an entire world to explore. I just need to figure out a way avoid bankruptcy. I actually joined The Magic Woods forum earlier today, but from the looks of it, users are far less active there than here.

Hi Jackson. Welcome to talk magic.

$300 in three months - that's quite a cups rate. You may want to slow down a bit there. My advise is take some time to perfect a few things

Of course that is easy to say. At the start we all what everything and we want it now.

Haha, ok, 300 dollars is somewhat of an exagerration. I'm probably closer to 150, maybe 200 dollars. A lot of it has been into dvds though- I'm starting with card tricks.

Ohhhh, that money was a cumulation of months and months of saving up. But for every dollar I spent, I'm glad I did. On a sidenote, is two dollars to a pound a fair estimate?

Nah, I watch hockey on and off, but I'm not really too much of a fan of any sport. I just moved here three years ago, actually. I'd half Asian, and I'd lived between Japan and California until then.

Definitely will pm when I run into issues with cards.

At the moment that's what we're getting from banks and post offices, I bought some at $2.008/£1.00 last week - I know the extra eighth of a cent makes no real difference but it felt soooo good!

I love hockey

Hello Moodini,

I love hockey. I don't have a favorite team, instead, I just love watching the game. I find it thrilling. I grew up watching it with my Daddy and Uncle. And then in college, at MSU, I went to all the games I could.

When I was in middle school and high school I used to play hockey with the boys out on the frozen lake all winter. Granted, I also loved figure skating, especially when alone on the lake late at night, but when the boys were out, it was fun to play with them. I never did have figure skates, though I always wanted them, I had a pair of hockey skates - it was my Daddy's idea.

I hadn't thought of doing a hockey Illusionist show until just this moment but it would be really fun to come up with one. I can think of many things that would be exciting to do on the ice.

Love,

Amanda Angeli

By MSU do you mean Michigan State? My oldest daughter plays and my cousin places for Harvard's womens team....great sport!

You can have fun doing card tricks close up but using stacks of hockey cards....ACR is quite fun that way
