The last time someone announced they had a tidy sum to invest and asked for suggestions, I think the general consensus was to only spend about 20%, stash the rest away ready for the time you see something you really want and they money will be waiting. It also means you won't spent it all on stuff you'll be tired of and trying to sell on in about 2 month's time.

well I still think those boots and top are a good idea.

No, Mandrake's right why not put it away and spend it on something that you really want. Otherwise you'll just end up with more junk in your cupboard that you'll never use.

Ah, that's more difficult. I'd always favour books over props, after that it would be items where there are more than just one trick or effect included. Any chance your benfactors would compromise on gift tokens/credit deposit for one of the main on line magic suppliers - just so you can pick and choose depending on what's available now and in the next few weeks?

How about this for £104

If you ever have to do a quick bit of stand up or stage work this will come in well handy.

Hey why not even go table hopping with one cranked up to 11?
