I expect a minority of customers will take advantage of the disarray to claim they have not received orders, when they actually have.

I felt really guilty phoning Cards for Magic to report that my package, shipped by them on the 3rd has still not arrived. I've ordered from them on many occasions but knowing that there will be some who take advantage of the situation me wonder if they would think that I was one of them.

Of course I'm not but it doesn't stop you thinking, if they think you are.

Anyway, being the good dealer that they are, they have sent the shipment out again (recorded delivery this time) and have said that they will sort it with Royal Mail.

I'm still waiting for a package from the States that was ordered at the end of August!

words cannot describe how much i hate the royal mail at the moment...

a £40 parcel from the wonderful eddie burke, sent a couple of monday's ago...gone...

medieval tarot and extension pack from worldmagicshop sent two thursdays ago - recorded delivery - gone...

yet something from ed fowler came from the states in a week...

and i dread to think if or when my sanctum 2 and outlaw wallet will turn up, i ordered that nearly two weeks ago...

no other business, with the exception of bob cassidy is allowed to be run like this...ridiculous, lazy, "weren't me guv" bad, bad attitude...

right now, i'd strangle postman pat if he was here...

I was in today to post a few people's things and it made me laugh - go into your post office and watch the "Post Office TV" (ie. adverts etc onscreen)... they were advertising some service or other in which two people, a young chap and an older woman, were trying to put a poster up for presumably the same service. He was holding the corner, then letting go when she came near with the hammer, then after a few comical attempts they left the job undone, presumably for a cup of tea.

Now, in a highly efficient service, such an advert might be a bit amusing (if you could hear what they were saying). But in the post office, it just made me grimace... I thought, "why should we watch or even be faintly amused by that advert? We see that sort of incompetence and pathetic attempt at problem solving every time we come here. And it's NOT FUNNY."
