I must be the oldest Boosh fan in the Universe. (54)!
Thank the gods for surreal humour! I can go back as far back as Round the Horne. I was addicted to it. I've even got the L.Ps of the programme! How's that for sad! Every Sunday lunchtime at 2.00 p.m the nation ground to halt. This was when I was 11 years of age.
In an age of mediocrity and conformity give me rebellion in comedy any day of the week!

Oh well, I suppose this ageing hippy had better take his medication and lay down in a darkened room!

Best Wishes to all fellow magi.

Lester

"The thing about Gary Numan right....."

I once contemplated going for the 'basic back comb structure, slightly root boosted framing a cheeky fringe' hair do. probably a good thing i didn't

I wouldn't know, sat attentively in front of the telly until 10.30 then relaxed a bit and rested my head on the side of the sofa. Mrs Bronz woke me up at 11 as the ending credits rolled, brilliant.

You too are very silly, and I shall be forced to educate you via msn. You have been warned.

Being a lover of British comedy, I have sat through what fans refer to as "The Boosh" once and found it to be smug, jokeless fare for studenty types who want to like something "different" regardless of whether it's good or not.

The Eddie Izzard syndrome.

Comedy on tv these days is so poor. I can't believe that Jack Dee's aptly named 'Lead Balloon' has also been comissioned for another series.
I hated Spaced as well, another trendy show in the same mould. It's a case of "forget jokes, let's put as many trendy and obscure references in there as possible so people can nod knowingly and smugly feel more superior than those who have missed a subtle reference to Three Colours Blue."

Bring back Cannon & Ball!

I guess you dislike any programme which attempts to be at least two-dimensional Freddie?

Eddie, please, if ever we meet, promise me never to tell me a joke...

I thought Lead Balloon (first series) to be pretty damn good...

come on now, stop this 1976-1986 timewarp...

I agree with Freddie exceptt he cannon and ball bit. Allthough I did like the Smoking room wich my brother hated. Its a shame the League of gentleman isnt still going.
