making reviews easier to find

Postby seymourmagic » Nov 28th, '07, 11:59

I was wondering if there was any way to make reviews easier to navigate thru/ Perhaps if there wasnt a way to add a search bar to look for a particular review then maybe a list could be composed to show possibly alphebetically the reviews that are posted already and on what page they appear. If I wanted to see a review on lets say d'lites I figure it's probably been done so i go looking in reviews tricks and props now I have to look through page by page for what can turn into hours just trying to find out is there or isnt there a review of this trick. So every time I want to look for a review on a different effect I have to look page by page. A list of reviews available and a page number where to find them could save members alot of time. If I visited a new church and was wondering if their song books had the song Amazing Grace in it. It sure is nice to have that list at the front or back of the book telling what songs are in it alphebetically and on what page the songs can be found. It sure is easier than looking through one page at a time trying to find a particular one.
It sure is easier that way, not intending to be complaining at all, It's nice that they are there for us to read. I am just trying to make a suggestion that might be an improvement for the site and it's members/ I hope there isnt a list or search bar I overlooked or won't I be the fool. I just bought a replacement silks to parasol wonder if a review has been done on it yet it's gonna take me awhile to find out if it has or not as there are many pages of reviews to navigate through.

you could always use the forum's search thingy, if you change the category to Reviews it's usually quite good at finding what you're after.

And lets not forget there is a reviews Index.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

Indeed, one for each review forum in fact. They are sticky so you'll find them at the top; I update them every few days so they're pretty up to date.

Indeed Bicycle808 has been beavering away on this aspect for some time, bringing up to date and keeping it fine tuned. Another good reason to be here on TM  !

it seems every time I get a great idea someone else thought of it first . like my idea to have a magnetic switch in a lightbulb so it only lights when a magnet is placed on it I made my own then found out it has already been done by someone else first then i get this great idea about adding a search bar and yet again it has already been done. sorry my eyesight is very poor. my recomendation for a search bar was not needed cause there was one already in existance, my apologies. Did I mention that I love this place!! I was in reading some jokes in the doves head it was a good read. i laughed out loud a few times. going back there now to read more  **poof** a flash of fire and a cloud of smoke and i am gone!

No worries Seymour, there's lots of relatively little known stuff on TM just waiting to be discovered
