An AMAZING/horrible present

Postby LeftEye » Nov 28th, '07, 21:56

OK, the title may be a little harsh. It's a long story... which I won't explain because my fingers havn't got the energy.

Basically, I've got a $200 gift voucher for Ellusionist. Not my choice as it was a gift (most expensive gift EVER!) but does anybody have anything they think would be good to buy from E?

Thanks... I think.

The art of astonishment series is excellent, no matter where you purchase it from. And you would still have change to purchase 13 steps and Bobo ( or a few volumes of card college). it all depends on what you're into. Though if you haven't got them, the Art of Astonishment series is a must, no matter what your preferences.
I would go for books over their one trick dvds any day, although there isnt much choice.

Unfortunately, I've got Bobo, Art of Astonishment and CC otherwise they would be the first things I would get. I don't want to get into mentalism, we havn't got along in the past.

I've got the David Stone DVD's in my cart, along with Superman Coin Bend and another Porper. And it says I've got a free Black Masters deck . Don't know what I've done but it says I got a free one which is awfully nice of them :?

Its not such a bad gift depending on your ability, some of the early E stuff is quite good the later one off effects seem to be a bit overpriced.

I dont remember the price but Torn is a very nice lil miracle.

It takes lots of training to remember the whole routine and have it go smooth but when done it really seem like each part of the card just stick by themself to each others.

Also Warp one or card warp is a very cute effect it also require lots of training for smoothness. Everything must become mechanical if you want to be abble to maintain a conversation that make any sense! lol But thats the kind of effect you can easily find an earlier variation from a book coupled with douzen of other effect all as amazing.

Your choices seem good although i dont own much E stuff all i can say is dont buy fraud if your not using US$ bills it will just seem like you using a tricked bill, it require that you borrow a bill to be really credible so you can hand it back after. There is other ways to make "inks" move but fraud wont help you on this matter... Else it has an awesome potential.

Also the "Mind bender" or "Card Bender" trick wich you obviously bend a card, dont buy this if you have not already dreamed of bending cards because performance wise it probably will be a deception. But if you dream of bending cards you certainly may enjoy this.

This pretty much resume my experiences with E i hope it helps you!
