I was all set to buy this but what puts me off is the fact that from the sounds of it the lack of proofreading means there are many misprints (anyone who has read my previous posts knows I'm a stickler for bad English) and the fact that a £300 gadget is needed for an effect which would probably make that effect redundant for 90% of the people who buy the book.

Let's just say I'm glad I read this thread before I shelled out £30 for a book full of misprints and effects that require things you haven't got the money for.

Please tell me which effects from the book use the Midas (whatever that is)!

Thanks in advance!

I am tempted with it, but have a horrid feeling I'll be terribly disappointed.
There is an effect in Mind, Myth & Magick which requires the use of a live monkey. More expensive and harder to aquire than a Midas, admittedly, but just as useless an effect for 99.9% of it's readers.
