Is Master Mentalism a piece of cra.....junk?

Postby Raybot » Dec 5th, '07, 20:24

I couldn't find a review on this so I'll just ask, does anyone here own the book Master Mentalism? And Is it worth!? The site's (http://www.mastermentalism.com/?hop=defined) description of the book sounds like a bunch of genuine crummy lies. Even the so called "reviews" look like they have been written by the money hungry author/magician. The guy sounds seriously phony the way he talks about the wonders the book will do for you....even the "Mr X" thing sounds screwy.

So will someone has the book please inform me if it is worth the money :D

My biggest problem is that the ad copy doesn't know whether this is a book on magic or mentalism. I'm not one of school who feels that magic and mentalism are completely separate entities, but I know there are differences.

Beyond that - the site itself turns me off the product. It's a terrible site - way too much information all over the place. It's just awful.

I may be wrong - but a mentalism book that talks about street magic - probably not the best.

If you want a straightforward opinion - stick with the reputable stuff that always comes up in such discussions. Check out Craig Browning's Becoming a mentalist thread on this forum. You'll find all the books you'll ever need to be on your way. Final opinion - steer clear of this, my friend.

besides, broadband delivery to pluto could take an age. :D
iv'e never been a fan of this type of smash mouth advertising, but as i have been wrong in the past on a similar advertised item, i'll just say its not for me.

tomos knaked mentalism is a cheeper and much better alternative, at least from an advertising stand point.
