some questions

what's up I'm new to this forum. i have a few questions for my fellow magicians:

Is there any effective way of seeming to eat something, but not really eating it?

Also, I'm interested in naked mentalism. Books I already have are psychokinetic touches by Banacheck, Kentonism, Sleight of Mind, Touching on Hoy, K.E.N.T., and Speed Trance. Is there any more material out there that the magic community could recommend?

Banachek has written quite a lot about using psychological forces in your performances. Te classics are "Psychological Subtleties" volumes I and II.

EDIT: It's considered polite on Talk Magic to pop along to the introduction section and tel us about yourself. That way, we can point you in the dir4ection of material that will match your skill level. There's no point in recommending books if you're going to find them either simplistic or impenetrable.

there is a classic effect at which you put a coin in your mouth and extract it from the back of your neck.

It is very simple but people would come screaming at me  if I just posted the big secret of this trick here so if you want to know just pm me....

Not sure why you posted the evil face. If you don't like the fact that TM doesn't let people post secrets here, why join?

Tomo is far too modest. The book you need - is indeed "Naked Mentalism" - by Tomo. (See his signature).

I have to agree with Darrel here.

How clever do you think it is to go behind the forum to betray secrets?

I don't know where you learn your magic, in fact I don't think I want to know, but I learn mine from books, DVDs, Lectures etc all of which I pay for.

I then go away for a long time and practice what I have learned.

I know this theme has been repeated in this forum many times and I may only be prompted to sound off this morning because its cold and I had a bad journey to work but this sort of thing really annoys me.

Both parties here are guilty of the nastiest aspects aof 21st century Britain. "I want it now, I want it free and I have a right to all of that"

This forum is, as has been explained countless times a forum for sharing tips, soliciting support with specifics and for mutual sharing of experience.

It is not for ripping off magicians who are making a living by selling tricks, it is not here to give schoolboys instant access to an artform that deserves a proper approach and respect.

I expect that I will get my knuckles rapped for this because it is for the mods to police this site, and I am sure that this will be dealt with in their usual efficient way. It has just struck a raw nerve with me today

In essence, it's perfectly OK to share and reveal anything which is your own personal creation but absolutley not if it's other people's work and ideas.
