Deja Reverse into card restoration?

Postby gammelsmurfen » Dec 19th, '07, 14:48

I was thinking about adding a card restoration to a Deja Reverse effect of Tommy wonder. Déja Reverse. More as a quick off the beat restoration which I would present as not really being a part of the effect, rather something I'd just do because I'm a magician.

Was thinking about incorporating Daniel Garcia's Torn into it. It would be a really visual restoration and if I'm able to pull it off quick enough it'd be terrific. But it would be kinda hard. Anyone know another card restoration I could do to add some flavor to my Deja Reverse?

To be honest I don't really think that routine needs the torn and restored to finish with, the ending he's got is a nice and natural ending.

And I must say, that clip is a brilliant example of how a good presentation can make a very simple effect very entertaining.

You might be right, but as Tommy says in his book that if you present the restoration as something not a part of the trick or even the show, it might leave an even bigger impact on the audience than any other trick in your routine.

you might be right, I can think of a way, based loosely on the torn and restored in good old, Mark Wilson's book that might work quite well.

Let me give it a little more thought I'll PM you.
