One DL I've been working on for a while now, is the Domico DL from Buckley's Card Control.

It's a one-handed variation, which is incredibly deceptive. It's difficult to get smooth and keep everything lined up, but I think it's worth the effort.

As far as convincing, I tend to shy away from moves that attempt to convince the spectator of something. If I turned over the top card, why do I need to emphasize that I turned over ONLY the top card? If your technique is sound, there is no need for a convincer.

Farlsborough I've tried doing it like that. Where you sort of push off the top card with the tip of your thumb and then the second card with the middle of your thumb, if that makes sense, then square them both up with your right middle finger.

Good in some situations but not so good in others.

This is just opinion. I'm just not sure I understand the point, (I understand the sleights and why some of it may be necessary, although I can see ways around it). From the spectator's point of view: You took the card off the deck, turned both the card and the deck over to show the backs, then turned over again to show the faces. So we saw the king twice now. Then you turned the king face down again brought it to the deck and again only to remove it again doing the fancy twirly thing showing the king yet again. Then you put it back ontop of the deck only to take it back off the deck and put the card in the center.

If you like the twirly thing and it works for you then keep it in but try to look at the rest of it and try to eliminate some moves.

Also when doing the tilt move the top card should not have a bend in it, and watch the break.

Just a few points to ponder.

I just do a thumb count and lift two off simultaneously, like how most people do it naturally, lifting the cards from the back and showing the face of the card.

It takes a bit of practice but it looks perfectly natural. Once you get it down it becomes second nature and there is no time lag, as your hands automatically recognise the amount of cards, the only problem I now have is that I might accidentally triple lift haha.

yeh as i said the cards are warped and bent from too many braue pop up moves and so i had to bend them, and yeh i show the person the king in performance, then look directly at them and talk, not exactly drawing attention to my hand, just that if they want to burn my hands they'll see a little flourish, and yeh the purpose of that video was to show the move, i wasnt going for a nice D/L... :)
