CHILL !

It's hard to witness any performance by Kenton without seeing this effect.

A spectator is told to look into the performer's eyes and relax. The performer's hands are shown as he rubs them together and places them on the spectator's forehead.

The performer then backs away and the spectator claims they feel a chill - literally feeling cool or even quite cold.

This continues until the spectator admits that what they feel is "Like an icepick in the forehead"!

The performer then gestures from a distance until the spectator feels they are warming up.

Once the spectator is placed back into normal body awareness, the performer continues on with any mentalism effect.

Here are the full details of this classic performed in some form every night the world over... as originated by Kenton.

Do you understand what the effect is? It sounds like the performer just keeps touching the spectator's head. I don't get it. Any re-wording, etc would be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

The performer then backs away and the spectator claims they feel a chill - literally feeling cool or even quite cold. TRUE

This continues until the spectator admits that what they feel is "Like an icepick in the forehead"! CAN BE MADE TO BECOME TRUE

The performer then gestures from a distance until the spectator feels they are warming up. TRUE

but to be honest, it don't see the problem, i read that before i dowloaded it and thought to myself...

"hmmm..so i get to suddenly m i bought iake someone feel extra cold JUST by touching them?" wierd! so i bought it...

it's only going to cost you a little over two quid to buy it...so, if it sounds interesting, and you are comfortable with performing...why not buy it?

So, it's kind of like Derren Brown's little trick called the one inch punch or whatever?

I'm so confused!

Let me be as specific as possible:

CHILL !

It's the title. I get that 100%.

It's hard to witness any performance by Kenton without seeing this effect.

Not really important to me, but I get that 100%.

So, the performer rubs his hands together and places them on the spectator's forehead, whereas the spectator feels a cool chill from the performer's cold hand. Yadidadida.

The performer then gestures from a distance until the spectator feels they are warming up.

So now the performer walks away and doesn't come back until the spectator says they are warming up.

Are my interpretations correct, becuase if they are, that's just plain stupid. That's not even a trick for cryin' out loud!

The question you have to ask your self Ham Why dosent the effect sound good to you? I like to venture you dont know much about suggestion and mentalism.

Start at the bottom of the ladder and climb your way to the top. Now Abraxus old Do you feel Chill is worth the £2

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

The only thing I don't understand is what the effect is. I initially thought the effect was as follows:

The performer touches the spectator's forehead and the spectator claims they feel a chill from his cold hand. Then the performer backs up and gestures from a distance as if he was touching the spectator's head. The spectator squiggles and they claim they have felt a cool touch from the performer's hand even though he wasn't near them.

That's what I initially thought, but the product description made me think otherwise.

Its only two pounds. How about GO WILD and buy it. Find out yourself, I'm sure it's going to be worth the LARGE sum of money! 8)

£2 is still money. Money wasted on something you'll never use is still wasted.

Based on the blurb, I'd say first, place hands on speccie. They feel nothing.

Then you back away, then they will feel a chill.

After that you start waving from far away until they feel that they start warming up. Then you continue whatever you wanted to do.

On the other hand, at least someone at TalkMagic will own it and be able to provide a detailed and complete review.

Thanks, my point exactly.

If your interpretation is correct, I'll pick it up. Thanks.
