many years ago whenm i was a little boy (actually about 10 years ago) i saw a magic trick with a newspaper where wine is poured from a glass in to a newspaper that is then inverted i knew how to do this but i lopst the instructions to make the it. does any one know where i might find them?

There are different ways of doing this effect, have a look at http://www.emagictricks.co.uk/Milk_Pitcher_Crystal.html for one of them. There are lower priced items around as well so worth a search. Other ways involve the newspaper rather than the pitcher/jug - I've never seen the details written down but it certainly involves an additional hidden item. Best of luck!

the effect you are talking about is called, " in the news", or " drink in newspaper" and the fake can be bought from almost any magical dealer for quite a little amount of money.
I used to do it with tea. The tea in the pot being poured into the paper black, and thanks to a photo of a cow on one of the pages, ( and a little diluted coffee whitener), it came out of the paper, and into my cup...White.

Good thing there wan't a picture of a chicken on the page though, or you may have had an omlete pop out

I suppose you could go ahead and produce a whole cooked Breakfast from your morning news paper.

I sometimes pour water into the newspaper - make it dissapear- force a colour and then have the water poured back from the paper the "chosen" colour.

The version i have allows me to turn the newspaper upside down too - the demo for this didn't show it - so maybe you can - maybe you can't with this version

The big advantage of getting the book is that not only do you get some great newspaper effects you can also learn Gene Anderson's classic newspaper tear too!

The Milk magzine version allows you to turn the paper upside down too.

Another useful tip is to place some drops of red cochineal into the gimmick before going into the routine of pouring the water into the paper and then, after showing that the paper is still dry and intact, pouring out what appears to be "red" wine. This is a nice "double" surprise that is well received.
