1- Red hot mama with transposition of both cards at the end.

2- A coin trough hand routine

3- ACR

4- Drawn Appart ( people just dont believe what they see!)

5- A Paper ball routine (similar to a sponge ball routine)

I think those are the five effect that get me the most spontaneous applause.

I should add one of my latest addition to the show the Fizz master from Art of Astonishment, this routine is so easy to improvise and make everyone laugh i often get everyone laughing from when i start shaking the soda can untill im ready to explode the other can.

Mt current top 5 i(6!) n no order:

1. Out of this universe (better than out of this world in my opinion)
2. Sponge balls
3. cup and ball with fruit production
4. Two card monte
5. Design for laughter (simple RRTCM effect but probably my favourite of the five)
6. Sorry but couldn't leave this out - a tipsy trick (I think this is the same as sankey's 'back in time' from what I can gather)

Here's mine, in order:

1) The Biddle Trick
People do go crazy. I learned this from an Ellusionist DVD when I was still new to magic (drawn in by the hard sell). Books are now the way forward. Anybody know where this trick was first published?

2) Two Card Monte
"Do that one with the Aces again!"
"No"

3) Three Cards Across
I do Dave Campbell's version, which is bold but really floors people.

4) Cut and Restored string-trick (if I've got string)
The one where you restore the string in your mouth. Never fails to get those jaws dropping. I was shown this by another magician but have no idea where it was published - anybody know?

5) The Bizarre Twist
Simple packet trick by Paul Harris with amazing end. If you've not tried this I'd recommend you do (Art of Astonishment Vol 1).

I'm working on Larry Jennings' "The Visitor" which I suspect is going to bully its way into this top five.

I know it says top 5, but I currently have a top 6.

My current top list is (in no particular order):

Killer Elite - My own custom variation

Ring of Truth

Jack London's Almost Real Prediction

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Basically it's my own take on an Annemann billet routine.

Scorch

Sanctum II

I keep trying to slim down my necessary bits and baubles. This current "set" only requires me to carry my Killer Elite set (nicely bundled in a small wallet, a few billets, my Outlaw wallet (which allows for even more fun) and a small coin envelope. I'm not "naked" yet (I'm getting there, Tomo!!! I promise!), but the continued departure from actual props is incredibly liberating.

Having said that, I will be pulling a few props in from time to time in the near future. Joshua Quinn's Duplicity and rick Maue's Fate are nearly performance-ready - and they're just too damned powerful not to pack the necessary bits.

In no particular order...

1) Chicago Opener (Love that moment - total sucker effect as they think it's gone wrong, then, "no way...")

2) Between the Palms by Elmsley (which can be changed to Sankey's "Bodyguards" if you want an impromptu version although it's not as powerful without the signature)

3) Spongeballs (say what you like, those little guys get screams)

4) The World Famous Two Coin Trick (non-gaffed, great opener, very straight forward... a real winner)

5) Geoff Williams' take on Triumph (...on "Miracles for Mortals 2". Get this. Actually, please don't... :D )

Top 5 include

2. The living hand

3. energized coin

4. dynamic doins
