my aristocratic wendy was infact, Eugene Burger...

i believe the meaning the name eugene is aristocrat, and of course, wendy, as in wendy burger franchise...

You should be aware that unlike McDonalds, the Wendy burger franchise is not a large international franchise. So most people living in the United States have probably heard of it, but as for the rest of us, put it this way: I've only heard of it because I get my education from the Internet.

In Australia, Wendys is an ice cream franchise. It's about as famous to you as the Wendy burger franchise is to me, and vice versa.

Edit: Checking, I see you're apparently from London, so I'm surprised that you think the Wendy burger franchise is something that justifies the "of course". Does it have branches in the UK, then?

no...it's just a quite large "brand" of burgers as far as im concerned, you see 'em in the background of american films and so on...

I'm slightly disturbed that you're researching it though...

i whole-heatedly apologise for not considering anyone who might not of been aware of the Wendy brand... :D

though i was under the impression that this was supposed to be some kind of obscure word-play game?

if I'm wrong, this is my next one:

Commy Tooper?

abraxus, your last request on the Wendy's clue was in December of 2006, and the last guess was in April.

The thread died and rcarlsen was kind enough to dust it off for all of us and start a new request thread that went on for 3 posts, leaving off with a request.

Since the last request is mine, I'll clean up this request by posting Tommy Cooper:

and re-instate my original request for:

One of a performer using a certain set of cards invented in the 1930s by a swiss psychologist? (Bonus points if it includes a spectator)

The wendy debate is interesting for me I got a thing about burgers. And Wendys do square ones!

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

For my part, I wouldn't have commented on the wendy thing if Abraxus hadn't used the phrase "of course". I also would have expressed things differently if it had taken less digging to discover that Abraxus lives in the UK (i.e. profile filled out). At the time of posting, I assumed that only someone from the US would assume that everyone's heard of Wendy burgers.

At Wendy's the ice cream franchise, all milkshake/thickshake flavours are available with or without malt. My most regular purchase is a banana+malt thickshake, and I would be happy to buy one for Abraxus at the earliest opportunity.
