Personally I avoid Myspace like the plague due to privacy & security issues :!:

However I'm now a year on from having the website published & it's been a goldmine providing loads of work & favourable comments

Dreamweaver is good, however it is pretty expensive. You may want to check that out.

Also there are a couple websites that teach HTML, which is the language that you write with.

Personally I wouldn't recommend easily.co.uk but instead would go for godaddy.com

I had a bad experience with easily a while ago and would heartily recommend godaddy. They were much cheaper aswell.

value for moneywise, I don't think you can beat Freeola (or Special Reserve as they used to be known). Their domain site, getdotted.com, charges £9.99 for 2 years with unlimited webspace and e-mail. With easily, you've got to pay for the e-mail and for data after a certain limit is reached. The only downside to freeola is that you have to use their dial-up service to upload your files (which is just a pay as you go internet service), so you'll need to dig out your old 56k modem if you don't already have one installed in your computer. They do have an additional service that lets you log in without using their dial-up, but if you have a 56k modem, there's no point in paying the extra.

Their renewal fees are very reasonable as well, I think I paid less than £20 for a 2 year extension to a domain I wanted to renew recently. Highly recommended.

webhosting uk

Sometimes templates are a good choice... there are lots of CSS templates out there that can be manipulated...

I wouldn't use frontpage... get yourself dreamweaver

Making your own template is simple and straightforward using an image for you background and using the modify page option to set it as background with a certain level of transparency etc...

Once you have your background you can then add tables to tidy up the text areas and keep everythiong neat.... the use of pictures, espesh on front page, is I believe critical as people dont like to arrive at just a load of text.

Now I'll be honest I havent read through this post fully... only the first couple of answers.

Here is a site I have started to build for my radio show using a CSS template LIVE ZONE

And here's a template I made and is being used by my friends skip business SKIPWEB

EDIT: chepaest .co.uk domain names at www.123reg.co.uk 6 quid and a few pence for 2 yrs reg with forwarding options and allsorts.
