Hello from South Wales

Postby Tanis_uk_2000 » Dec 30th, '07, 01:27

just thought I would pop in and say hello, I have been enjoying magic for the last 35yrs 10yrs performing under the name Stuart J doing all the usuall childrens shows, slowly I felt a change in the way the shows were going, many parents didnt really want an entertainer more a baby sitter that they could drink the day away, dont get me wrong there are still some great parents out there, just a small minority who I felt spoiled it for many, thus the early retirement, for the last 18 months I have started rehearsing again this time for my first love Mentalism the routines have developed and I'm now in a position to perform a 45 min set, this has been aranged for early 2008, its a small gig around thirty people so hopefully will go down well, I hope in the future to be able to contribute to the forums and enjoy a long stay
Thanks Tanis :D

Hi and welcome to TM  .

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

You didn't have to say a word about kid shows, I could read your mind. also did kid parties form quite a few years and did it as a clown most of the time. When parents leave you alone, the cute kiddies become unruly devils. Its good to see you haven't stopped performing, its in our blood. I only have one question? I called the great mentalist Glen Falkenstein and his answering machine picked up and wanted me to leave my name and number. Should a mentalist need an answering machine? He should know who called, for what reason and then call him back.
Cheers

Welcome and looking forward to hear more about your show. I am also doing quite a lot of mentalism, though I never did a 45min show. Good luck!

Magic is slight of mind!

Great intro, I've also been involved in mentalism. Great stuff, huh?
