I am a crass commercial guy. I spitch Svengali cards. Bought Don Driver's DVD and do it almost exactly his way, tho I do include a homemade DVD of the tricks in the deal, so I can raise the price to $10.

This year, will also be doing the Zibit. http://grindshow.com/ It should be here any day now and I'm really eager to get on with it. Not exactly magic but...certainly different.

Since starting the Svengali cards, have become interested in other phases of magic. So now have bought several books on the art and hope to eventually include something more magical in my Svengali pitch.

Your Svengali and carney background sound intriguing....

I have seen Jon's posts on the magic cafe. Alas he has a lot to learn. And so have the other wannabees on there. They know NOTHING whatever about the business.

I am continually fighting with Don Driver about his DVD. I believe he shouldn't have put it out since it is an interference with my business. I don't want amateurs all over the damn world attempting to sell svengali decks. If I hear of a svengali worker in Bangladesh I get highly irritated and territorial.

The only consolation I get is to read their posts on the magic cafe and realise that they haven't the slightest inkling of what they are doing.

I sell a book on the svengali deck but I made sure not to give one iota of information about how to make a living with it. I told everybody it was a magic book and nothing more.

The Driver DVD details the American method of working and it is useless and ineffective. The British way is best, old chap. Ripping off the public is part of our glorious heritage.

Although you have been impertinent about my work on the magic cafe I shall still advise you on the matter. In your recent posts you have been blabbering about being nice to children and feeling guilty about taking their money. This is a dreadful sign that you do not have the right stuffing to be a grafter. Yes the word is grafter. We British do not use that silly Americanism "pitchman". And please do not confuse "grafter" with that other silly Americanism "grifter". They are two entirely different things.

You must NOT be nice to children. You must rip them off in the same way that you rip everyone else off. A good grafter must learn how to lie, cheat and steal. How do you expect to progress if you don't? You might as well be posting in the gospel section of the magic cafe instead of in the "Step Right Up" section.

You must give up this attempt to sell svengali decks to the public, my boy. It is a most unholy occupation and you seem to have a most holy disposition that disqualifies you immediately.

And why do you have to give away a DVD to get $10? I have been selling the decks for $10 for years and years while Don Driver can only get a pathetic 5 bucks for them. And I don't give away DVDs to do it.

In fact I give away nothing with the decks unless I want to do a "lump up"
Of course you have no idea what a "lump up" is. Another sign of a "mushroom" And of course you have no idea what a "mushroom" is. Which proves you are one.

I am in no mood to provide further information. You will have to find other gainful employment and you WILL in the end. EVERYONE who tries to sell svengali decks fails in the end. And you will too.

However I may post a snippet of information on here from time to time on how to go about the matter properly. However you will have to wait until I am in a good mood. And that happens only about once a fortnight for 10 minutes or so.
