cost about £20 got this for my kid for christmas , we have most of the marvins magic ones you know u buy 200 tricks and theres 3 good ones kinda thing[moan] anyway freaky body illsuions is pretty good , a dvd comes with it that shows you how to do all the tricks and more .
in the box u get a basic stationery clip , its a great magical item , you can perform levitation with a stationery clip lol , it looks great , in fact most of the illusions use the stationery clip , you have a hand in the box , a living hand illusion , its visually quite good , also the old swapping hats without your hands moving behind a cloth routine , makes me laff every time that one .
anyway well recommended for budding young magicians around the 9 to 37 age hehehehhehe

Well, It must be said, I didn't "laff" at all at this one. I couldnt see a single good trick in it and I watched it a few times.

It seemed very amateurish, and poorly made, even by marvin magic standards. They could have spent alot more time on cover design, and a few more pence on paper quality (sorry, its just the little things that annoy me).

Overall, something I would not buy (my nephews copy - he enjoyed it) seemed very much for the aspiring amateur. Call me old fashioned, but I prefer something that people cant see how its done.

We have a lot of chess players. Seriously. We randomly got in this stupidly large CHESS WALL and theres just millions of em! Everywhere. Only one magic book for sale though...Mark Wilsons Complete course...my duties are normally neglected for that book.

Magicans!!! I think I be right in saying that Stationary shops and the likes are as important to us mentalist as Magic shops are. Look around you and see what can be used and how it can.

Free revision guides is my main joy. Although, we order ANY book ANY time. So technically, we are unlimited in literature! On a friday, i get my pay and walk straight down the road to Waterstones for a bigger collection::) I know what you mean then...my old hobby used to require a good lot of stationary!

Stationary shops are a source of inspiration and I have spent many an hour and pound in them.

As for the Marvin's Magic Freaky Tricks For Three Year Olds set, WOW! I must get myself one of these. Sounds like we're all missing something here....

I saw this in Harrods just before Christmas. The head twister in it looked as if it had been made on Blue Peter with lots of sticky back plastic and cardboard.
Although Marvins Magic is on the shelves and gets lots of people, especially children, interested in magic, this set looked as if it it was for playing jokes with, rather than "doing", let alone performing, magic. Just my opinion anyway.

Wasn't this reviewed just last week by another newbie?
