How do you do it?
Easy:
"I saw a great magician on TV last night. He took one, two, three, four, five, six cards and threw away one, two, three of them. Then he clicked his fingers and there were still one, two, three, four, five, six cards.
"I went to the magic shop and told them about the magician and how he took one, two, three, four, five, six cards, threw away one, two, three of them, clicked his fingers and still had one, two, three, four, five, six cards.
"The man in the shop said he thought he knew the trick. He took out one, two, three, four, five, six cards, threw away one, two, three of them, clicked his fingers and still had one, two, three, four, five, six cards.
"So, I bought the trick and I'd like to show you it. See, I have in my hands one, two, three, four, five, six cards. I throw away one, two, three of them and I still have one, two, three, er, three cards...Oh yes *clicks fingers* one, two, three, four, five, six cards!"
If you really do have the trick, look at what you have and the routine will tell you all you need to know. If you haven't got the trick, well, thanks for playing.
