On Channel 5 this programme is obvoiusly very clever...it is however as far as I can see making children into young Alan Sugar's, which is a bad thing.
The child in last weeks programme was bursting with confidance, I didnt think it was possible to give him any more. I thought the programme was also putting a lot of pressure on a ten year old boy, I felt sorry for him in parts.
Do we really need another Alan Sugar?, Who's only aim in life is to make money not freinds and get the chinese to make his products at the lowest cost possible for him, then be able to sell them at silly prices compared to how much they were actually worth.
Children should be children..not young adults.
Thats my opinion anyway.

You can say that again...I did feel for the boy especially when he cried, I wouldnt let my child go through that just for TV. :evil:

I'd love to go back to being 8 again, life was so much more fun when all you had to worry about was which Sylvanian Family to buy when you've saved up the pocket money

I'm sure this was posted elewhere but what the heck:

A man asked his wife what she'd like for her birthday.
"I'd love to be eight again" she replied On the morning of her birthday he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Coco Pops and then took her off to the local theme park.

What a Day!
He put her on every ride in the park:
The Death Slide
The Wall of Fear
The Screaming Monster Roller Coaster
Five hours later she staggered out of the theme Park.
Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down.
Right away they journeyed to a McDonalds where her loving husband ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a refreshing chocolate milk shake.
Then it was off to the movies: the latest Star Wars epic, a hot dog, popcorn, all the Coke she could drink, her favourite lolly and M&M's.
What a fabulous adventure!
Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed onto the bed exhausted.

He leaned over his precious wife with a big smile and lovingly asked "Well Dear, what was it like being eight again?"
Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed. "I meant my dress size, you pillock!!

Would you though? Or would you worry about everything that was coming and start asking your Mum to set up a direct debit for 50p a week into a cash builder account instead of giving it to you to spend on sherbert fountains?! :lol:

There was a bizarre/sad/hilarious documentary about him/her/it a few years ago where Keith Allen interview the family. It was classic television.

Just want to express my sadness at an ignorant tone that is emerging on this thread. I don't really like the use of the word "it" in the context it is being used (eg "he/she/it"). It is dissapointing and unwitty.
And it's coming from people that I consider to be intelligent and a cut-above.

No, it's just that there are a few people I want to meet again in their original context and have another go at. Age 8 feels about right so that I can get into context or a couple of years or so. You know, soak up the groove and blend in. Nothing to see here... yet, tee hee...

You know it's weird. I have very few (really - only a few) memories of being a child. It's almost as though I was born at age 12 or something, and the child I was before that was somebody totally different.

My birth was also weird and seems to mirror perfectly Damien's birth in the Omen. This is true. Be afraid.
