Rubber cement

Postby Albino » Jan 25th, '08, 18:56

This may seem like a real daft question - but is rubber cement ment to be solid in the jar? cuz if it is how the heck do you apply it?

Albino,I had the same problem . If the rubber cement is really old stock it can start to solidify in storage . The jar I bought was half brick, half honey. As far as I know there is not much you can do about it , apart from buying a new jar, unless somebody else has got a solution .

They make some stuff called rubber cement thinner. If it has turned into a brick, though, it might be time for a new jar!

Yeah, sounds like you've been sold a dud jar :?

You can get RC from the tubes in cheap bicycle repair kits. Hopefully you'll use those before they solidify!
