Hello,
my name is ken and I have been doing magic for thirty-odd years.
I recently re-located to the UK from South Africa where I was a fulltime pro. I havent done much in the last year as I have been finding my feet and setting up home. the time has come to dive back in as the magic runs strong in the veins.

I am a bit old-school, ie believe in practice, experience and devotion to the art as apposed to buying tricks and performing them within 10 mins.
I ran a chain of magic shops back in SA, taught magic, wrote and presented a television series, performed between 3 and 5 shows per day over weekends, worked clubs, kids, mentalism and 5 regular restaurants.
I was a committee member of the Johanesburg Magic Circle and an active member of Art In Magic (a club set up to teach the youth magic) I worked as a Theadora Foundation Clown Doctor and was a worker for anything magic.

looking forward to meeting UK Magicians and talking magic.

Hi and welcome to TM  .

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

Welcome! I'm from SA as well.

You mentioned that you ran a few magic shops in SA, could you tell me were I can find one? I've been doing some searching and the only magic supplies I find are little"boxes of tricks".....you know, those little containers with magic goodies with them. Enjoy your stay....!

Wecome to TM and it sounds like you have quite an interesting resume. You said you have been performing for some 30 odd years, what have you been doing on the even years? Just a bit of humour to welcome you.
