Artificial Roses

Postby Lawrence » Feb 6th, '08, 17:01

This will hopefully be a 2 post thread but here goes.
I don't seem to be able to find some roses anywhere other than a florist.
Can someone just point me to where i can get some plastic (?) roses please?

...it's valentines coming up soon

do you want plastic or silk petals?

if silk, you can often get them from a cake decorating shop, or stall on a market if you are lucky. markets usually have them for better prices.

I guess i'd have to go for silk, just nicer.
I, unfortunatley, don't have time to go to the market (even at the weekend, this weekend). Does anyone order them from a website at all?

The Works are doing their dark red roses with petals made out of feathers - I seem to recall mentioning this last year or the year before but anyway they're the same price, 99p each or thereabouts. Very realistic and no need for pruning or watering :D !

this any good?

Due to a juggling convention at the weekend I litterally don't have any time to go shopping, but I'll see about giving them a call, cheers.

And Mr Drake, havn't The Works gone out of business?

I agree with Lady of Mystery - try a craft shop. Hobbycraft usually stock these as well as others.

There was a notice in our local The Works to advise that they were In Administration and business was carrying on under the control of the appointed administrators so it certainly looks like my favourite magic supplies shop may be coming to an end. Lots of extra price reductions today and still plenty of those feathery roses!
