Mine are actually for Poole - I still can't get hold of any Reading ones!

I'm still trying though :D

What is the name of this show - is it his 3rd one (ie the one after Something Wicked...)? Or is it a new one?? If it is the 3rd then I saw it last year (as many of you will know, the tours last 2 years). If it is a brand new 4th one, I must try and get tickets!

OK, scratch that, I just Googled it and it is the one I saw last year. And it's a good 'un :D

EDIT: The Google bit...

I might see if I can scrape the money together for a ticket at the Buxton Opera House, but I don't think my gf would really be interested (I'd certainly have to pay for her ticket, which there's no way I could afford!) so I'd be on my own.

So... I think I'll just wait until it's televised

It's the same show as for the 2007 tour. No hint at the moment of whether he's doing a new one in 2009/2010 but we can always hope... 8)

Sadly, I'm in the 'States. I'll read a full description somewhere after the tour starts and imagine I was there, though!

For the SWTWC tour (2005 and 2006), the West End run was actually announced in the first year.

Due to a large number of new productions in 2007 (so the story goes), there was no suitable London venue for last year. I don't know why they didn't do any shows anywhere, even in Wimbledon or Croydon, but they seem to be going for bigger theatres now.

I was hoping to make the trek to Reading, but their booking system was ridiculous, and we couldn't get tickets anywhere decent (they had some, but we weren't allowed to book them for reasons too ludicrous to go into). My girlfriend and I decided that, rather than get seats we didn't want (especially as the ones we did want were actually not booked), Reading could poke it, and we'd just have to hope for some London shows.

Anyway, I've heard that they have concluded, or are very close to concluding, a deal to secure a London theatre run this year.

They had a few blocks of three seats in the area we wanted to sit in. They wouldn't sell two tickets, because that would leave a single seat on its own.

You could only take a pair of tickets like that on the night before the show! That was hardly suitable when it involved quite a big journey for us, ignoring the fact that there might not be tickets left by the show date.

It wasn't just the automated booking system; my other half rang up and she was told the same by the box office.

We didn't have anyone else who'd go with us (most people we'd ask are in couples themselves, and the extra distance involved meant it was only suitable for big fans anyway).

And yes, we did try booking two tickets separately, but again you weren't allowed to leave a single seat in isolation.

I would have come!

Although I would have insisted on sitting in the middle and holding hands with the both of you whilst shouting "I know how he did that!" after each effect
