This might have been brought up again and again and again

BUT

i used the search function and nothing was adequate enough to what i was looking for

I know nothing of Magnet strenght and am having an awfully hard time trying to find a magnet online through a website that will be equal to the strenght of the m5.

i dont want to get a giant magnet to discover it can only hold paper to fridges yet i dont want to find a magnet that will glue me to a truck that drives by

All im looking for is the right magnet for PK effects, coin dissapearances etc.i have a nice jacket for it to go up my sleeve, but could someone please give me some guidlines

please dont lock this thread

thanks a lot

Look for magnets with the highest G number. G (short for Gauss) is the unit of strength of a magnet.

The type of magnet used in most pk rings that can be worn on a regular basis is N40. The N stands for Neodymium and 40 is the magnets' grade.

Link to Neodymium magnets on Wiki.

From the link:

Neodymium magnets (or “neo” as they are known in the industry) are graded in strength from N24 to the strongest, N54. The theoretical limit for neodymium magnets is grade N64. The number after the N represents the magnetic energy product, in megagauss-oersteds (MGOe) (1 MG·Oe = 7,958 T·A/m = 7,958 J/m³). N48 has a remnant static magnetic field of 1.38 teslas and an H (magnetic field intensity) of 13,000 oersteds (1.0 MA/m). By volume one requires about 18 times as much ceramic magnet material for the equivalent magnet lifting strength, and about 3 to 5 times as much for the equivalent dipole moment.

I'll be shocked if you can't find something suitable here...

This post makes me feel better. I too try using the search function and I can never find what I'm looking for. I try all sorts of variations and I can't seem to navigate it properly. Yet somebody mentions something and others put in links to where it has all been discussed to death.

For example I just broke down and got a pk ring. I know for a fact that there is tons of stuff here on the subject. I try the search function I get 25 hits but only one or two threads on the subject of my search. One was very interesting and it took me quite awhile to translate from English to English, not to make fun of Karl or supermario or whatever his name is but the conversation took off in a very bizarre direction and I think it was mostly through mis communication. But it is neither here nor there. Point is, (yes I am bringing this around) obviously I am search function challenged.

Just go to Google and type in:

site:.talkmagic.co.uk

Followed by whatever you want to find. It'll only search this site, but with the full Google search engine.

Along these lines, you can go to the Advanced Options for Yahoo! and tell it to search the keywords at only whatever domain you would like. (http://www.talkmagic.co.uk)

i found a magnet on a site for about 10$

Image

name: future magnet
dimension:40 x 20 x 10 mm
Weight: 61 g
Nickel-plated
Magnetisation: N42
Strength: approx. 25 kg

can i do with this magnet a effect like PaperClip by Sam Fitton? (http://youtube.com/watch?v=0w2E9oCDY_w)

also i found a stronger magnet but this cost 35$ and i don't know if it's worth for my paperclip effect. (ps: the Weight is 240 g, it's too much?)

name: best magnet
Q-40-40-20-N
40 x 40 x 20 mm
Weight: 240 g
Nickel-plated
Magnetisation: N42
Strength: approx. 60 kg

Before you buy a magnet, there a few things you may want to consider. How & where will you conceal it? What do you wish to accomplish with it? Will it be in the way of other effects in your routine? For example, a 12 oz. magnet has draw backs if you will encounter metal after you are done with it. Tomo has offered you some great advice. Essentially, you are buying a gimmick. Consider how it might work for or against your routine & experiment from there.- Look at the big picture.

I see. Are you both Flood & Wizi? I didn't know that. In either case, my post may not be helpful to one as experienced & learned as you, so ignore it at your leisure. But, it may help someone else, which is why I posted it. Not to worry, I'm certain the solution will come to you- with experience.

aaa? I'm not flood . I'm wizi and that is my only user on this forum!
i posted here because i didn't want to start a new topic regarding magnets. and when i said " i told you in my first post " i mean my(wizi) first post of this topic. I told you i want to make a effect like PaperClip by Sam Fitton. i read that the gimmick is "the bat" and that's the reason i asked on this topic : "someone can tel me what is the Pull Force for "The bat" magnet? (in lbs) and the weight" i didn't receive a response yet :(

do you own the paperclip effect by Sam Fitton?

if so, then you'll how it's done - and whether it requires any "strength" or not...
